A youth hockey league game in Russia was canceled after the 10-year old players engaged in a massive line brawl.
Details from The Guardian…
An ice hockey match between two teams of 10-year-olds from Moscow and Novokuznetsk is called off after most of the players are sin-binned for fighting. Russian pro-hockey is often mocked for lacking the sort of fisticuffs that characterize the NHL, but that may not last for long. Fighting is an integral part of ice hockey tradition in North America
When you read the above paragraph, isn’t it clear that the journalist doesn’t know anything about hockey? It sounds like something you’d read on wikipedia if you searched for the term “hockey in Russia.”

Is a Russian hockey brawl amongst 10-year olds really going to change the reputation of Russian hockey players? Doubtful. However, this is pretty hilarious. I’ve never seen a group of tykes that are so angry. It’s as if they were told before the game that the losers won’t get dinner that night.
This video is like a combination of hockey fighting and MMA. Some of these kids just pin their opponents to the ice and unleash a barrage of vicious ground and pound. However, if Russian hockey players really want to see a true brawl, they need to check out the SPHL.
