Vitor Belfort TKO’s Michael Bisping At UFC on FX 7 (HIGHLIGHTS)

Vitor Belfort earned a TKO victory over Michael Bisping at the UFC on FOX 7.

The Brazilian unleashed a vicious head kick that floored the Brit, and “The Phenom” followed up with ground and pound until the referee stepped in to end the fight. Here are the video highlights of Belfort finishing Bisping…

UFC President Dana White had already guaranteed Bisping a title shot against Anderson Silva if he got past Belfort, and now the middleweight division is in flux. Two months ago, the division featured contenders like Bisping, Tim Boestch, and Alan Belcher. However, all three of those men have lost in the past six weeks. The UFC now finds itself in the untenable position of having no legitimate contenders to take on middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva.

Chris Weidman would’ve been a possibility, but he’s out with injury. In my estimation, the only other reasonable candidate is Hector Lombard. I’d like to toss Belfort into the mix, but he’s already lost to Anderson Silva in devastating fashion.

But back to Bisping…

The 33-year old has been desperately trying to secure a title shot for seven straight years, and each time he gets close he loses in dramatic fashion. At UFC 100, Bisping fought Dan Henderson in a number one contender’s match. That fight famously ended when Henderson unleashed a massive right hand that dis-connected Bisping from his consciousness.

It’s back to the drawing board for Mr. Bisping…
