Trish Stratus May Have Invented The Pouty Duck Face Look (PICS)

Trish Stratus is still young, and she’s already had one hell of a career. She’s modeled for magazines and various publications, she’s a 3-time WWE “Babe of the year” – yes that’s a real title, she was named the “WWE Diva of the Decade,” and she’s a 7-time WWE women’s champion. Trish is now retired from the WWE, and she continues to make it rain by running a yoga studio.

Are these accomplishments impressive? Absolutely. However, Trish Stratus hasn’t received credit for her true contribution to pop culture. Trish Stratus invented the pouty open mouth duckface look. You know the look I’m talking about, it’s the look that every 14-24 year old woman plasters on Facebook and Twitter every weekend. It’s the kind of face that says, “Look at me, I’m both sexy and dangerous.”

It’s basically the female James Bond mean mug.

Trish Stratus was doing the open mouth pouty duck face in the late 90’s, and it was fully going under the radar. By the time the pouty duck face phenomenon took hold around the world in the mid 2000’s, Stratus retired from the WWE. Now, the duck face is commonplace, and it’s gotten to the point where people give out Christmas cards with pictures of themselves doing the duck face. Unfortunately, Stratus isn’t around to accept responsibility for her trailblazing efforts.

Trish Stratus should’ve trademarked this face, she’d be a billionaire…
