Kyle Orton Goes Full Blown Romo – Kid Loses Shirt In Jerry Jones’ Box (VIDEO)
You just knew it was going to end this way… didn’t you?
Kyle Orton throws a late game interception and the Dallas Cowboys miss the playoffs. It had to end this way… didn’t it?
Of courses it did. We’re talking about the Cowboys.
The Dallas Cowboys are the biggest c-teases in pro sports. You can count on three things from the Cowboys every season. They will look incredible in some games, they will embarrass themselves in others, and they will miss the playoffs on the final day of the season.
In 2013, this universal truth has taken shape quite nicely. Last week Tony Romo came up surprisingly clutch and led the Cowboys to a last second comeback. Unfortunately for both the Cowboys and Romo, that was the last snap he’d play for Dallas in 2013. Romo hurt his back, he was done, and Kyle Orton was handed the keys to Jerry’s castle.
Ironically enough, Kyle Orton played quality football for 58 minutes against Philly on Sunday night. Orton made 30 of 46 passes, he threw for 358 yards and two touchdowns… but then it happened. You just knew it would.
With under two minutes to play, and the Cowboys down by two points, Kyle Orton had a chance to win the game. He needed to take the Cowboys 50 yards downfield to give Dan Bailey a chance at a game winning field goal. Naturally, Orton threw a game ending interception on his first possesion.
Check out this classic Jerry Jones reaction. While doing so, please notice the gentleman in the background taking off his shirt.
As an aside, I’m pretty sure Kyle Orton is going to drown his sorrows in a ridiculous amount of whiskey. Kyle Orton likes to drink and party.
