Eric Staal’s Wife Tanya Looks Like Daryl Hannah (PICS)
Eric Staal married his wife Tanya in 2007 when he was just 22 years old, and all things considered, that’s pretty impressive. Not many people are ready for the commitment of marriage at the age of 22, but then again not many people score 100 points in the NHL at 22 either.
When Eric Staal decided to get married, he also decided to enter matrimony with a bang. You may recall that Eric and his friends had an epic bachelor party…
Eric, a 22-year-old Carolina Hurricanes forward, and Jordan, an 18-year-old Pittsburgh Penguins forward, were among 14 men arrested and charged with disorderly conduct early Saturday morning after police responded to noise complaints at a Minnesota resort.
Eric Staal, left, and Jordan Staal were among 14 men arrested early Saturday after a party at a Minnesota resort. The men were gathered at Lutsen Resort and Sea Villas in Lutsen, Minn., about 90 minutes south of the Staals’ hometown of Thunder Bay, Ont., for a bachelor party in honour of Eric, who is to be married in August.
Eric was among the 10 who spent the night in jail. Jordan was released after booking but not before being charged with consumption of alcohol while under 21 years of age, in addition to disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process.
At the very least, this makes for a great story. It’s not often that an entire bachelor party gets arrested. On a completely unrelated topic, doesn’t Eric Staal’s wife Tanya look like Daryl Hannah? Not 1980’s “Wall Street” Daryl Hannah, more like 1993 “Grumpy old men” Daryl Hannah.
The CBC’s Elliotte Friedman did a report on Eric and Tanya Staal at the 2011 NHL All-Star Game. They have quite a Thunder Bay’d up version of a Disney story…
