Arian Foster And Marshawn Lynch Are Hilarious In Madden 25 Commercial (VIDEO)
I hate television commercials…really, really hate them. Personally, I think 95 percent of commercials lack creativity, and are dumb. More often than not I’m baffled that these commercials made it to air.
“Wouldn’t someone get fired for pitching that idea?” – I thought to myself.
“How did the creative director pitch that idea with a straight face?” – I wonder aloud.
“How did a room full of educated businessmen accept this ridiculous idea?” – I bark at the tv.
Fortunately, every now and then a commercial comes along that is truly awesome. Unsurprisingly, many of these awesome commercials deal with sports. So why are these sports commercials so awesome? Because they are daring, and they don’t take themselves too seriously.
Remember when Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux did the “Chicks dig the longball,” video? The commercial is beyond hilarious, and it’s also especially ironic. Remember when Mark McGwire was being hailed for his homerun prowess? Yeah, things have changed since then. When you watch this commercial in 2013, it’s like taking a time portal back to fandom in the steroid era.
Moving right along, how about the office linebacker Terry Tate? This is quite possibly my favorite commercial series of all time. It’s right up there with cereal commercials. On that note, do you remember how amazing cereal commercials used to be? Captain Crunch, the Trix rabbit, Ca-ooh-kie crisps, they were all awesome.
Have you ever seen Tim Tebow’s TIVO commercial? It’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion. I suggest you take a gander. If you think Tebow can’t throw, just wait until you see him act.
Do you remember any of Lance Armstrong’s Nike commercials? There was one that stands out in my mind as being particularly offensive. Lance looks into the camera and says that everyone always asks him what he’s on (inferring drug use), and his response is, “What am I on? I’m on my bike busting my ass six hours a day, what are you on?”
Finally, we have the aforementioned Arian Foster and Marshawn Lynch Madden 25 commercial. It’s great, check it out for yourself…
